1. Information We Collect
ricepuritytestresult.com collects two types of information:
- Automatically collected information: When you visit our website, our web server automatically logs standard technical data including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time of visit. This is standard for all websites and is used for security monitoring and understanding traffic patterns.
- Information you provide voluntarily: If you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry.
We do not collect: test answers, purity scores, account information (we have no accounts), payment information, or any personally identifiable information beyond what is described above.
2. How the Test Works — Your Answers
The Rice Purity Test on this site is processed entirely client-side — meaning all computation happens within your web browser using JavaScript. Your answers to the 100 questions are:
- Never transmitted to our servers
- Never stored in any database
- Never associated with your IP address or identity
- Discarded completely when you close or refresh the page
Network administrators on your network (e.g. school or workplace WiFi) can see that you visited ricepuritytestresult.com — this is true of any website. They cannot see your individual answers or score, because those are never transmitted.
3. Cookies and Analytics
We may use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Analytics: We may use Google Analytics or similar tools to understand how visitors use our site — which pages are popular, how long visitors stay, and where they come from. This data is aggregated and anonymized. It does not include your test answers.
- Functionality: Some cookies may be used to remember your preferred test mode (Classic or Express) within a session.
- Advertising: If we serve advertisements (see Section 4), ad partners may set cookies to deliver relevant ads.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect the core function of the Rice Purity Test — the quiz works without any cookies.
4. Advertising
ricepuritytestresult.com may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or similar advertising networks. These advertising partners may:
- Use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites
- Collect data about your browsing behavior across websites for advertising personalization
- Use the DoubleClick cookie to serve interest-based ads
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
Advertising cookies do not have access to your test answers or score, which are never transmitted from your browser.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics — Website traffic analysis (Google Privacy Policy)
- Google AdSense — Advertising (Google Privacy Policy)
- Cloudflare — CDN and security services (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for their own marketing purposes.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited personal data we do collect (server logs and contact form submissions) against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
Our site uses HTTPS encryption for all connections. Server logs are retained for standard security monitoring periods and then deleted.
No method of data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. However, because your test answers are never transmitted to us, the primary privacy risk of the test itself is effectively eliminated by design.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Rice Purity Test was designed for adults aged 18 and above. It contains questions about adult experiences including sexual activity, substance use, and legal encounters.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not submit personal information through our contact form. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Parents concerned about the test’s content for younger teenagers should review our guide for teens and parents.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Objection: Object to certain uses of your data
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page. Note that because we do not collect test answers or scores, there is no test-related personal data for us to access or delete.
If you are in the European Union, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are in California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will make a reasonable effort to provide notice.
Continued use of the site after changes to this policy constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Contact
For questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us through our contact page.
We aim to respond to privacy-related inquiries within 5 business days.
